Best Resume Writing Techniques

Following are Resume writing guidelines to help you develop your resume:
  • Keep it short! 2 pages maximum.
  • Make sure your objective matches the job description and put your experience in reverse chronological order – this means most recent experience goes FIRST!
  • A good way to get your resume more time on the recruiter’s desk is to make it easy to read. This means use bullets. Please don’t be afraid of these. They really are easy on the eyes.
  • There is only room for one short paragraph on a resume and that is the objective. This is a very short paragraph that explains what you have done and what you are looking to do. It must match the goal of the job for which you are applying.
  • If you are just posting your resume on job boards, instead of including an objective, add a Professional Profile in its place. This is just a brief synopsis of your career.
  • Since you only have 2 pages to list all of your experience, make sure that you only include five key responsibilities (in bullets) for each position.

Jobinnerview was created by a team of high level recruiters and communication experts. It is designed to help you present your skills and experience to the interviewer so they get an “innerview” of who you are and why you are right for the job.

We have developed a complete 12 lesson eLearning course to teach you the skills you need to present yourself in a job interview. The course uses advanced learning techniques in the multimedia videos, plus contains quizzes and additional exercises to insure you get the course and can walk into any interview with confidence and ease, and get the job.

What we teach you is the correct methodology for answering questions so that you can comfortably answer any question that comes your way, WITHOUT having to memorize an answer. But the most important thing we teach you is to know thyself! That’s why we call it the “inner view.” You are your own expert. No one knows you better than you. A job interview is just about getting to know you.
As you preparing for job interview, remind yourself that interviews go both ways. You want to impress the client with the value you can bring but you are also there to learn and evaluate if this is the right position and company for you. Adopt a mindset that you want companies to compete for the privilege of hiring you and that finding the right “match” is very important to you. Stay humble and appreciate that this is a very different posture than “looking for a job.”
